What predicts prejudice against homsexuals?

New publication by dr Marchlewska and colleagues at the Journal of Homosexuality.

Results of two studies carried out on a sample of heterosexual men and heterosexual women showed that men who identify themselves in a narcissistic way with their gender score higher on scales measuring prejudice against homosexual people. Measures of identification (collective narcissism and safe in-group identification) were applied in both studies, but this time the point of reference for identification was gender, rather than one's own nation. In line with theoretical assumptions, it was male collective narcissism, not safe identification with one's gender, that predicted prejudice.
