Who does not adhere to safety guidelines?

New article co-authored by members of the Political Cognition Lab.

At the Political Cognition Lab, we are trying to answer a number of questions about the society's behaviour in the face of a global threat such as the coronavirus pandemic. One of the hypotheses we have evaluated, together with fellow psychologists from the Polish Academy of Sciences and the University of Warsaw, is presented in a recent article published in Psychiatry Research. It concerns the relationship between the belief in conspiracy theories, paranoia, and not adhering to government's epidemiological safety guidelines during the spring 2020 lockdown caused by the spread of COVID-19. We are also looking for possible moderators which could explain this behaviour more thoroughly.
